Speculations Flying Around – Mainak's Got a Girlfriend???

DISCLAIMER : This post has been written with/without the consent of both the parties concerned. And I might’ve added a bit of my crazy imagination to it too. So just enjoy it – it is equivalent to fiction.


Well, here’s another post related to X-C and its warhorses. Mainak has always been among the most “seedhe-saadhe” guys of our class. Not me, I’ve always been known as the chatterbox with a certain degree of naivety.

“Innocent naivete!? Who? Me???”
So as the four of us – Shalini, Girija, Mainak and I – were walking on the pavement, two girls come from the other side and Shalini says, “Hey Arun! Take a pic of those two girls.” I ask why. Her reply,”You have guts for that?” Of course, if it’s challenge I never stand back. I take out my camera, turn off the flash and take a pic (I deleted it later – it was just to show her my guts).

I have never been someone one can call simple and naïve. And yet, many get the delusion that I’m so. Though, one by one, the delusions are getting dispelled. But Mainak, he is one of them…..

“Him Talking to Girls!? Maybe Once in a Blue Moon! And Today’s the Blue Moon!!!”
So he happens to be the typical mother’s son – never talking to girls. As a matter of fact, he has the phone number of only one girl, but that girl is not the one in context here.

But when it comes to X-C, there’s no girl and no guy – just friendship. So it wasn’t such a big deal seeing Mainak with girls. But I don’t understand one thing – why is it that both of the “couple” photos with Mainak happen to be with the same girl??? Something fishy – my wacky imagination knows no bounds as many of my friends might know….
